I love this verse because, like David, I am poor and needy. Yet, the Lord “thinketh upon me!” I get the “warm and fuzzies” even thinking about this verse. Just to think that that somebody is thinking about me! Oh, like you; So many have forgotten you and me. They said that they would never forget us. But after you’re gone for a while, they not only forget you, but they never ever think about you. Now, God is not that way! Remember, God was thinking about Job when he said to Satan, “have you considered my servant Job?” So, God had to have Job on His mind. Now, I want you, my brothers and sisters, to think about me for the good, but I especially want Jesus Christ to think about me as I labor for Him. I leaned this: Your friends will never think bad of you, and your enemies will never think good of you. I want Him to be proud of me, and think upon me. Here are some ways that I want Him to think about me: 1. I want Him to think on me as a WORKER
a. The laborers are few – Matthew 9:37 2. I want Him to think on me as a WARRIOR
Now, I always liked to fight. Sometimes I don’t like being a a. I want to fight for the right things – Ephesians 6:12 |
3. I want Him to think on me as a WITNESS Isaiah 43:10
a. I want to witness for HIM everywhere I travel. – Acts 1:8 4. I want Him to think on me as a WORSHIPPER
Oh, I love to worship Him! Even in those cold, dead icebox 5. I want HIM to think on me as a Winner
Yes, God knows I am after the PRIZE – Philippians 3:14 When I was young there was a popular song that I thought was written just for me called, “Born To :Lose.” Believer me, I was a loser to everyone that knew me. But, on September 22,1968, this loser became a winner, because I am on the winning side because of JESUS CHRIST.
